Lucía is very young, she was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1995, she studied Plastic Arts at the Faculty of Arts of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, however, she has already had several individual and group exhibitions in her career and has completed an exchange semester at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the UNAM, in Mexico City, an opportunity that earned him to know and expand his mentality regarding art in general.
The work of Lucía Lafon focuses on the plastic, semantic and psychological search of the concern to express through watercolor (which has served as a means of pushing for her artistic exploration) her taste for the realization of portraits to be able to interpret the inquiry and investigation of the psychology of color, in its ability to represent emotions, the physical phenomena of corporeality, immortality, and presence, insisting on the ability of images to retain memory and as an exercise in introspection.
Each portrait consists of a gestural, emotional and intellectual analysis of people, which, with the use of photography, allows it to be an intermediary of remembrance, in which each face carries an emotion, a natural way of being. She uses the colors and the relationship of the shapes that they create in the brushstrokes as a guide to give the sitter a personality, a temperament, a seal, another way of seeing himself, like the mirror in which we all would like to look at ourselves
